Even the door handles are big

This micropost is about the biggest door handles I have ever seen.

A real handful

This is a personal import, as far as I know, a 2002 Ford Explorer. It is noted for its use of independent suspension and transmission failure at 100,000 miles.

2002 Ford Explorer and its doorhandles

    1. The vehicle turned up again on my street. A closer look at the handles revealed visible tool-split lines on the upper surfaces. There’s no excuse for that. Apart from that, the shapes are sensible though verging on the bland. I think Ford was aping VW design stringency minus the finesse.
